Mr. Leer is Executive Vice President of The RMR Group and a member of its Management Committee. He also serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer of Sonesta International Hotels Corporation, where he oversees corporate support functions, as well as commercial and brand strategy.
Previously, Mr. Leer was President and Chief Executive Officer of AlerisLife Inc., where he also served as Chief Financial Officer. With more than 25 years of experience in accounting and finance, he has held senior leadership roles across both public and private companies. Prior to joining The RMR Group in 2013, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Office Properties Income Trust and held various finance leadership positions at several Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Leer earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is a Certified Public Accountant.
