NEWTON, MA [September, 30, 2025] – Sonesta International Hotels Corporation (Sonesta) today announced the launch of its newest vessel, the Sonesta Dahabeya Amirat II, further solidifying Sonesta as one of the largest operators on the Nile. With this launch, Sonesta has also confirmed Sonesta Travel Pass members now earn five points per US$1 spend on Sonesta Nile River cruise (for the cabin portion of cruise folio) across the seven-ship portfolio. This is a key step in expanding Sonesta’s renowned cruise fleet, offering an unparalleled cruising experience along the Nile River.

Sonesta Dahabeya Amirat II features five deluxe cabins and four elegant suites, with private terraces, designed to offer maximum luxury, comfort and privacy. All accommodations feature a Plasma TV with a movie offering, complimentary internet access and individual climate control. The deluxe cabins offer a sitting area with beautiful Nile views, while the suites provide additional space and a private terrace for exclusive views and a serene environment.
The vessel blends modern design with traditional elegance, creating a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere. Onboard amenities are designed to ensure a truly indulgent experience. The vessel features a beautiful shaded sun deck and bar, a cozy lounge with a reading corner and an open-air Jacuzzi surrounded by private sunbeds. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with stunning panoramic views of the Nile, serving a variety of delicious dishes prepared with the finest ingredients to satisfy every palate. A fitness center with a gym and massage services are also available.
