The Royal Sonesta Chase Park Plaza Earns Local and National Honors

 ST. LOUIS (August 13, 2026) – The Royal Sonesta Chase Park Plaza has earned recognition in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch’s 2026 Top Workplaces Awards, St. Louis Magazine’s 2026 Readers’ Choice A-List Awards, and has been named a nominee finalist for the Historic Hotels of America^® Annual Awards of Excellence program in the category New Member of the Year — highlighting the hotel’s commitment to historic preservation, workplace culture, guest experience and wedding hospitality.

The hotel was named a 2026 Top Workplace in the large company category by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The category recognizes organizations with 500 or more employees nationwide. Winners are selected based on confidential employee surveys administered by Energage, which evaluate workplace culture across 26 factors including leadership, meaningful work, pay and benefits, appreciation and company direction. Organizations must have a minimum 35% employee response rate to qualify.

The hotel also earned three honors in St. Louis Magazine’s 2026 Readers’ Choice A-List Awards, winning Best Wedding Hotels and Lodging and placing among the top two finalists for Best Local Hotel and Best Cinema. The A-List Award winners are determined by public vote. In 2026, nearly 130,000 nominations were cast, with the top five nominees in each category advancing to the final voting round. Winners and top two finalists are featured online and in St. Louis Magazine’sSeptember issue.

The Chase was named a nominee finalist in the Historic Hotels of America^® Annual Awards of Excellence program in the New Member of the Year category. Each year, the Annual Awards of Excellence recognize the most exemplary historic hotels, hoteliers and leadership practices. The New Member of the Year award is presented to a new member hotel that best demonstrates immediate engagement, activation and passionate support of Historic Hotels of America. Winners will be announced at the 2026 Historic Hotels Annual Awards of Excellence Ceremony and Gala, which will take place at the Williamsburg Lodge, Autograph Collection in Williamsburg, Virginia, on October 15. The award winners will be announced in front of an audience of owners, general managers, senior decision-makers and guests representing many of the finest historic hotels from around the world.
